January / February
Healing in community.Â
Theme of the Month:
EMBRACING CHANGE
As we step into the new year, January invites us to reflect on the changes that have shaped us and the growth that lies ahead. Embracing change is not always easy, but it is essential to our healing journey. This month, we focus on accepting the experiences that have brought us to where we are and welcoming the new beginnings that await us.
In our healing, we open ourselves to new relationships, recognizing the value they bring to our lives. At the same time, we honor the evolution of old relationships, understanding that change is a natural part of the process. Setting new boundaries is crucial as we continue to grow, and we give ourselves permission to redefine the spaces we inhabit.
Let this month be a reminder that change is not something to fear, but rather something to embrace as we continue our paths toward healing, self-discovery, and resilience.

Community Call:Â A Space for Sharing and Support
Join us each month for our Community Calls—a safe, supportive gathering where survivors can come together to discuss highs, lows, and the support they’re seeking. During this first month, we’ll focus on understanding what you need from our digital community, exploring resources that would be most helpful, and identifying areas where we can better support ourselves and each other. Come as you are, and know that your voice matters here.
Challenge of the Month
This month, we invite you to embark on a journey of self-care, empowerment, and healing.
The Embrace a Healthy, Safe Lifestyle Challenge encourages survivors to take small but meaningful steps towards creating a life that supports their well-being and safety. Here are some simple yet impactful actions to guide you:
Develop meaningful practices to guide your healing.Â
-
Supportive Connections: Engage with your support network—whether through friends, family, therapy, or a trusted group like the We Rise Community. Sharing your journey and receiving encouragement from others strengthens your healing process.
-
Celebrate Progress: Reflect on how far you’ve come, no matter how small the steps may seem. Acknowledge your strength and resilience, and honor your growth each day. Healing is a journey, and every step is worth celebrating.
- Rest and Recharge: Prioritize rest and recovery. Whether it’s through sleep, meditation, or simply taking moments of stillness, allow your body and mind to heal and recharge. Rest is vital for mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall resilience.
- Set Boundaries: Take time this month to identify and reinforce the boundaries that are essential to your healing. Setting boundaries is not just about protecting your physical space—it’s also about respecting your emotional needs and making choices that align with your well-being.
Let's celebrate your wins!Â
